Published in 1918, this fascinating botany book contains articles on the British medical plant situation at the end of the Great War. The author who was at the Royal Technical College in Glasgow shows both the posative and negative ides to medicinal plants.
In the article on The Umbelliferae or Hemlock Family he subdivided as: General description and diagram, The Poison Hemlock, Poisonous Properties, Medicinal Properties, Distribution, Collection, Present Source of Supply. The Hemlock Water Dropwort. The Common Water Dropwort and each item is discussed in general terms. A great read!
