The text of this well known sporting biography contains many references to Medwin's friends Shelley and Byron, in addition to accounts of Medwin's sporting adventure's as a Lieutenant with the 24th Dragoon Guards. Some light browning & foxing to the first 4 blank pages and then the frontispiece and title page but not detracting from the text or plate. Both volumes with 2 ink ownership signatures to fpd's and 2 blind stamps of George Prichard to ffep.
