In the Welshpool eisteddfod of 1824 she obtained the second prize for an essay entitled ' Catalogue of Welsh Manuscripts, etc. in North Wales ,' two of her other essays being ' Genealogy and Antiquities of Wales ' and ' The Castles of Flintshire .'
