Uniformly bound in red speckled cloth, faded at front and top edges, corners and edges worn and bumped. Spines, faded, titles and tooling in gilt, edges bumped, vol1 has a small spot. Internally, cream endpapers, all have bookplate of Edward Lays of Brython Place in Tenby to fep's and the armorial bookplate of Herbert Millingchamp Vaughn (1870-1948), to fpd & fep, some light browning to first and last few pages.
