Uncommon. Captain James Cook, born 7 November 1728 in Marton in Yorkshire, and tragically killed in Hawaii on 14 February 1779, explorer, navigator and cartographer, achieved amongst other things, the first circumnavigation of New Zealand in the 1760's.
