In full contemporary calf, gilt edge tooling, corners and edges lightly bumped and worn. Re-spined, gilt tooling and title. Internally, gilt tooling to board edges and turn-ins, red marbled end papers, title page, [2], 16 pls (tissue guarded), accompanied by 11 leaves (complete) of descriptive text, plates dated 1792/1795, mostly by Moses Griffith. Oblong 28*21cm. Very similar to Sir Colt Hoare's later work, but better! (Lowndes 248). Title continues: Castles, and Romantick Places in North Wales. Drawn and Engraved by eminent artists.
