In 19th C full tan calf, attractive gilt tooling, couple of small marks, edges & corners bumped & worn slightly. Spine, gilt title * tooling. Internally, half title, [8], [5], 6-120 pp, complete with all 13 aquatints, all very clean & crazed endpapers, binders label to fep, bookplate to fpd (John Clark jun), 3 owners inscriptions to ffep (Willoughby; Roberts; Elan...). Printed by J Smeeton in St Martin's Lane. A lovely copy. Sotheby, poet and translator. This was his first printed title and he went on to produce many translations of the classics.
