In the publishers plain blue paper boards, corners and edges bumped and worn slightly, lower cover loosing its blue paper cover revealing brown board. Spine, a little torn, titles in red ink to newer paper, edges bumped, some tape. Internally, fpd raised and almost loose, some very light spotting to prelims, marginal water stain to first few pages, Good, (xliv), [1], 26-555 pp, with an interesting subscribers list, tail device to final page, text block edges uncut, most pages uncut! possibly unread!, preface and notes in English, text in Welsh, first published in 1671, this copy not dated but c 1822. Edwards, Welsh-language writer and preacher, went to Oxford, to the university printer, to print Ffydd ddi-ffuant (1667), a book that he had no doubt been preparing during the previous few years. It was further changed and improved by 1671 when the second edition was published. In 1677 he returned to Oxford to print the third edition 'with Augmentation'.
