In modern quarter calf, with worn contemporary marbled boards, corners and edges a little bumped and worn. Spine, gilt tooling, titles in gilt to green calfr label. Internally, new endpapers, folding map frontis present, 8vo, [3], (iv-vi), [1], 2-194 pp, 1 map, 19 illustrations (to include vignettes, head and tail pieces), 1 additional folding plate (probably tipped in at a later stage), text block edges uncut, a few minor chips, light sporadic soiling and browning, occasional contemporary note, the map, drawn by J Davies is dated 1822. The author was the Headmaster at the Hawarden Grammar School. Very Rare.
