Bonney, Thomas George, geologist, whose autobiography, Memories of a Long Life (1921), says little about his geological work, but records his impressive alpine achievements, gives fascinating insights into Cambridge life in the nineteenth century, and reveals the author as a tremendous trencherman with a seemingly inordinate interest in food.
