Half title, frontis, [4], [2] pl list, [1], 2-284 pp the index from V1, fifty two hand coloured lithographed plates with the whole page outside the picture washed in grey. Plate 28, Village and Mill of Strousbarne, is wrongly captioned - it should read Llandidloes, being the plate referred to on p17 in the list of plates in Volume 1. Early twentieth century vellum over boards with two hand-coloured engravings (from GF Robson's Picturesque View of the English Cities (London: 1828) laid down under varnish on the covers (North West View of the City of Gloucester on the front cover and South View of the City of Worcester on the back) with captions below in gilt. Plate facing p18 in Volume 1 with small printer's crease. Two neatly repaired marginal tears to list of plates in Volume II, just affecting a few letters on verso, red marbled endpapers, small book seller label to fpd, t.e.g. An excellent copy in a very unusual binding.
