Twentieth-century black straight grain morocco, covers decoratively bordered in gilt, spine decoratively tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, board edges and turn-ins decoratively tooled in gilt, marbled endpapers, all edges uncut, very minor damp staining in the upper margin of a few leaves, small stain to a few leaves, just affecting the margin of plate facing p7, neatly repaired marginal tear to H4 (pp55/56), ink ownership signature to verso half title (Humfrey? 1834).
