4to., 19 ff, 10 chromolithograph views, two double-page and some with oval cut-outs to take photographs (of which there are 30 family portraits), all printed with gold borders, other leaves with gold illustrations of flowers and accompanying insect life, some original unidentified portrait photographs remaining, original blind tooled padded black morocco, elaborate decorations to the covers with faux strap work and stylized floral sprays, inner gilt dentelles, a.e.g., chromed clasp, a little foxing, not dated but c1890. An above average quality photograph album enlivened by the inclusion of 10 finely printed chromolithograph view by Alfred de Breanski (1852-1928), an artist who was particularly noted for his atmospheric portrayal of mountain landscapes. The present selection contains double page views of Grasmere and Henley-on-Thames as well as the Trossaachs, Colleeen Bawn Rock and two scenes in Wales: Snowdon from Llyn Lydau and Cader Idris. No printer or date of issue given, although some plates bear the initials of T. J. S. S. & Co.
