Plates watermarked 1823, each plate with imprint, dated from Sept. 12, 1823 to Octr. 15th 1823, the last two plates watermarked 1823, front wrapper priced @ One Guinea. Original brown printed wrappers, expertly rebacked, a few small expert repairs to the front and back wrappers. Housed in a quarter brown morocco clamshell case. A near Fine copy, of an extremely rare suite of plates, only a single copy was located by NUC (Lib of Congress). (264*370 mm). (Colas 1397. The plates show military uniforms from various foreign armies (i.e. non-British), showcasing European and non-European regiments.
