(Hill 56; Sabin 3628) Covering a wide range of subjects but including 'Tracts on the Possibility of reaching the North Pole', 'Whether the Turkey was known before the Discovery of America', 'Account of Mozart, a very remarkable young Musician' with portrait of the young composer (the first published portrait, reprinted from Philosophical Transactions of 1770), 'History of the Gwedir family', 'Journal of a Spanish Voyage in 1775, to explore the Western Coast of N. America' with map. The latter is the first and only contemporary account in English of the first Spanish voyage into Alaskan waters.
