In quarter calf over grey cloth. Spine, gilt titles to red calf labels, tooling, a little finger soiled. Internally, half title, [7], (viii-xi), [1], 426 pp, 8 full page illustrations (B&W), 4 maps (folding, coloured), and numerous B&W illustrations within text, a few short pencil annotations, marbled endpapers, occasional spot, original soft cover bound in at rear. Rebound by the previous owner in 1988, who also states it had been bought from EH Stevens of the Alpine Club and the annotations were his. (235*155 mm).
