The Autograph, limited edition of humorous sayings from the Stock Market, signed by both the author & illustrator, with 52 B&W illustrations. In quarter vellum over bevelled cream buckram, corners rubbed, a few spots. Spine, title & tooling in black ink. Internally, tissue guarded half title, illustrated title, prospectus leaf, followed by 51 illustrations by Dudley & Proctor on 49 leaves (mainly tissue guarded) plus the illustrated title page, complete per list, many dated [18]99, some offsetting & spotting to blanks but not affecting illustrated leaves, front joint with short crack, not dated but either 1899 or 1900. A Very Good example of an item which is often found in poor condition. (344*277 mm). Limited to 1000 copies, with OCLC showing 5 copies only in institutions (2*Uk, 2*US, 1* Australia, none in BL?)
